Taj groups, Le meridian, Oberoi are the star hotels available throught all major cities of India.
If you give particularly in which area you want to concentrate / season, it can be defined easier.
For hill stations, you can go to shimla in north, darjeeling in east, Ooty and Kodaikanal in south.
For pilgrimage you can go to kolkatta, puri, konark (east), dwaraka, shirdi (west), Haridwar, Rhishikesh, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Mathura, Ayodhya, Jammu (Vaishnodevi),etc., (north) and in south lot of places with artistic values.
For Beach resorts, Goa, Kerala, Andaman, Lakshdeep, etc., will be good. |

you got a great answer from rajagopal. But as a traveller I know that a person's view on a places might def differ.
I usually refer a site called OkTataByebye.com for my travel info. It is an online community of travel enthusiasts, and there's simply tons of info there for every kind of traveller, so you can read, ask, share and form your own opinions - a flexibility and transparency I like. I hope you do too. Have a good time |
