Actually there are many places, if you go by a tourist bus, you can cover the whole city in one day. I'm not sure whether they will take you to lotus temple or not. But its worth seeing..
I would prefer Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Parliament, Connaught place, apart from lotus temple. |

Depends on what u want to see . Qutab minar, Red Fort, Jamma Masjid, Bahai Temple, National Museum, The Shopping malls - all tastes are available. U have to decide what your tastes are. |
