maldives ofcourse here is the world travel award site more than 75 nominations are from maldives. i think its because maldives is great. last year maldives got the leading tourist country. but remember maldives is expensive. as the proverb goes to gain something you should lose something. so come enjoy the once in a life time experience. hope you come to maldives. you will never regret

i'm biast, i'm from seychelles, and we have great resorts, some are maia, banyan tree etc etc great for a weekend and especially some pampering. good luck on your wonderful choices, oh by the way seychelles is also very secure and I am sure so are many of the places other people stated. The locals are very friendly here and will even offer to let you stay at their place and cook you up a creole feast and offer to let you stay at their place so you have more money to spend on gifts to take home. Mauritius- Trou aux Biches

This resort has the best diving area. The beaches are actually silver in color. Breath-takingly beautiful. It's elegant and comfortable. And it's got the best ways of touring around the area too, both on land and see. Mont Choisy Beach is close by too, and is a great place to meet people.

Plus, out of your options, this is probably the most secure area too. It's hard to vacation when there's even a little worry about safety. So, this place is not only so beautiful but your can really relax too. Friendly atmosphere.
