Mumbai is safer for women.
Delhi has too much floating population transiting from its neighboring states of Haryana UP. Those people have no sense of identity of attachment to the city and may be indulging in lewd acts against women.
Also the mindset is feudal. The females should be saying at home etc. The present spiralling land prices haven't helped either. They have resulted in the folks around the city getting richer and not necessarily progressive in their thought. The presence of the Khap panchyat may be an example. |

Mumbai for sure is much safer than delhi. You also had encountered it so it is very much known to you also. Yes in Mumbai stealing happens because their is a lot of poverty in Mumbai than in delhi, not only things belonging to womens but also of mens. You can say Lot of rapes, molesting and other serious crimes is the main language of delhi. From mens point of view(me),i can assure womens safety more in Mumbai than from the capital of india. |

I m TYPICAL INDIAN. But I DONT LIKE both. My place is very safety compare to other parts of India . fROM OUR college they took us for Delhi. So when I went der was 4 Secutiry near the gate. Even if we have to go for breakfast/dinner from 1 floor to opposite building , security was behind us and they count. and when We used to go for project work, I did not see much womens itself. Later I had come to know For gals its not a safety place at all!!!!! So i m very scared. Really I will never go to Delhi . I dont like mumbai becoz der are more Prostitutes. I hate totally NorthIndians.
Cheers. |

The mischief remains in any city. I remember the police commissioner of Mumbai city stating when a woman was molested on new year - this kind of things keep on happening in big cities. The molesters were later freed with parental supervision! Normally much of the cases go unreported.
But yes, the crime graph in Delhi is much higher due to poor governance. |
