Durshet Forest Lodge 100 kms from mumbai near Khopoli.
My kids went there for a scout camp and thoroughly enjoyed it.
There the participated in rappelling, valley crossing, rock climbing, and swam all day long too. |

For youngsters, there are a couple of places around Mumbai, depending on the choice of activities. For a one day trip, you can take the ferry to Alibagh and return the same way the next day.Or, take nature walks in the Karnala Bird Sanctuary, and stay at Karnala. You can also visit Pawna Lake near Lonavala, and enjoy boating in the lake. Or, you can stay at Doctor's Farm, Kolad and learn fishing...!!You can visit Palghar, and stay at Jungle resort and Waterpark.
Places such as Matheran and Mahabaleshwar require more than a day. |
