all the river's in india are poluted to be very honest with you i cannot point my finger at just 1 river if you take a close look at all the river's they are all poluted and in there own ways come one have you all just been to the ganga river then take a trip to all the other river's and you will see that there are loads of plastic bag's that are found at the river beds.empty water bottles.loads of wast from factories and loads of mosquitoes from the rivers.people take our natural resorces for granted and only the rich and famous get away with it.
stop thinking just 1 or 2 or 3 river's are scared all the rivers are scared,i have taken my blind folds off a long long time back.you better look at the bigger picture.
all the wast and inland water that is suage is let into the river's in some place's
sorry to upset you but its the cold facts of life out there about the river's.

Though Ganga (Ganges) is the holiest of all rivers, the confluence of the 3 rivers Ganga, Jamuna and Saraswati together in Prayag was considered to be very important. (Saraswati may have existed before, but sceptics are doubtful. Some say it has dried up).Prayag is in Allahabad.
Himalayan saints and sages who make their rare appearance at Kumbh Mela in Prayag, the confluence of the Ganges, Jamuna, and mythical Saraswati Rivers. There the saints come down from their remote caves in the Himalayas only once every 12 years in order to bless the people.
Ganga is believed to have flown down from heaven and got entangled in the dreadlocks of Shiva, the destroyer of evil (one of the Trinity of Hindu Gods).
According to Hindu mythology, if the dying person drinks a drop of Ganga's water, he ais absolved of all his/ her sins and attains salvation. A lot of cremation is also done in the banks of Ganga river and the ashes immersed in the water to purify the dead person's soul (This has led to pollution!)
