India has quite an exhaustive range of honeymoon resorts for summer, to choose from. Most of these are on par with (or even better than) exotic 'foreign' locales, in providing the right atmosphere for newly-weds...
But, as you have not mentioned which part/state of the vast Indian subcontinent you and your fiance are from, and what sort of budget you have, it would not be practical for anyone to recommend any specific spot - as it may either prove too near or too far, or even too costly or too cheap !

Simla would be the best location for honeymoon. Even Kashmir would be a good option since in summer also the temperature there is not much and you will enjoy the warm and romantic climate there.

Of all the above, I suggest you to go to Mysore wherein you can see Mysore Maharaja Palace, Brindhavan Garden, Mysore Zoo, etc a number of other places worth seeing. You can also do shopping, viz.k, buy cotton or silk sarees. Mysore silk sarees are very heavy and very nice plus you can buy lots of sandlewood items, rose wood items, etc.

South will too hot. North india is a good option. Since your dates are clashing with vacations following places for saty will be ideal.

Bhimtal (Nanital)

Dalhousie / Dharamshala /Khajjir etc..........

these are the ideal locations in Uttaranchal and Himachal.

Next you can go to Kashmir.

or in northeast i.e Arunachal Pradesh or sikkim. rest the choice is yours.

Go to some country outside of India. India is not ideal for a honeymoon, not a nice romantic place. I would suggest Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, since these places are not too far.
