1. THREE QUARTER CHINESE - This is my Fav restaurant. Located on Brigade Road it opens in evening 7:00 pm onwards. As from name the restaurant is 3/4 Chinese and last quarter (1/4) is INDIAN food. Both foods are really good. Also you can order for drinks and there is separate smoking and non-smoking areas. The quality of service and abidance in the restaurant is cool. I really like to visit this place as often as I can. Dinner for 2 persons will be around 2000 - 2500 rupees.
2. SAHIB SINDH SULTAN- This is also one of my Fav. Located at FORUM MALL, Kormangala. The theme of the restaurant is RAILWAYS and a part of restaurant is build as a compartment of a train. It is slightly expensive, but worthed. It is difficult to get place on Saturdays and Sundays here. A for 2 people will cost around 3000- 3500 rupees. It opens from 7:30 pm in evening
3. BOMBAY POST - Located On airport road, it is a great restaurant to have INDIAN food. It’s theme is bollywood and you will find posters of Indian actors and actresses inside the restaurant. The abidance is just right for perfect dinner. Separate smoking and non smoking areas. Specialty of this restaurant is NORTH Indian food and NON-VEG (sea food). A dinner for 2 people costs 1500- 2000 rupees.
4. GRAMIN - This is a PURE VEG restaurant located in KORMANGALA. It remains very busy all the time. You will get lot of varieties of north Indian veg food and it’s theme is villages in India. The taste of food is really good and if you are a vegetarian then you should visit this place for food. Dinner for 2 people costs 500-800 rupees
5. ROAD SIDE SHOPS- Allright, everybody likes eating roadside, here are some places and food that I like.
i) If you visit Bangalore by private bus then they will stop at KAILAISAPALIYAM. There are many travels there, near to ASHOKA travels there is a guy (TAMILAIN) who gives DOSA, wow !!! my mouth is watering. The taste is really amazing and you must taste it once if you are there The Chutni that he prepares hmmm so spicy it’s just perfect !!!. 5 bucks for a dosa :-)
ii)Near to JOTI NIVAS COLLEGE, Kormangala, there is a guy that sells PANI PURI, hmmmm.. Everyone Fav. You can see this guy from distance as you will see lots of people standing with him, don’t miss it !!!!!! 10 rupees for 6 pieces
iii)On housur road, near to forum, there is a LADY that gives DAAL WADA and BONDA. You just have to eat them once and you will never forget the taste. 1 rupee each for wada and bonda
iv) Commercial street, there is a tamilain shop for DOSA and other south india foods. Amazing taste and simple food, must try it if you are there. |
