also at the old swaminarayan temple everyday you can go to the heritage trust office on the first floor.

from there they will take you on a heritage walk through some of the best preserved part of the city at around 8 in the morning. this is probably one of the best experiences to be had while in india.

dont believe what ppl say ahmedabad has a lot of offer. including the adalaj stepwell and the sarkhej mosque on the outskirts. go for it. you wont regret it.

and the amdavadis are great foodies, so ask the locals for the good joints...
