where are you ? Don't compare the hydrabad to chennai. Chennai is best in respects. we don't know when will a violence start at hydrabad. it is a best place to see and return.
Even the people living at hydrabad and other parts of Andhra pradesh will like madras very much. if you ask them which city you want to see a) London b) chennai , their answer will be chennai. Their affection on chennai is unlimited. |

Bad Question!! You can't compare apples and oranges. It might take several decades for Hyderabad to get qualified to be in this question.
Hyderabad is just a extended village. Buildings and fly over don't make a city. It is people who matter a lot.
Hyderabad is a artificial city created by Ex CM CBN who thought AP ends with it. Obviously it is showing up its limitations.
Roads not being enough for vehicles.. Pathetic driving attitude. Sick of it. |

As far as myself is concern chennai is the best place to live compared to hyderabad for a simple fact that traffic in this part of world is in pathetic situation.... one thing i hate about hyderabad is no one follows traffic rules.. so there is no guarantee for our lives here.... SINGARA CHENNAI is the best |

Chennai obviously. Madras presidency was there even when British rule was there. So, it is well ahead. |

CHENNAI vs HYDERABAD: A candid assessment of the 2 cities
I jus cannot fathom y most of the Hyderabadis call it "hydra-bad" ,which they claim is the anglicised version as in "calcutta- kolkata" or "bombay-mumbai" , with the bad part being pronounced in the same way as the antonym of good-"bad". The other "bad"s do not suffer this ignominy namely Ahmedabad,Ghaziabad etc. If it were 2 b a purely posh,Anglicised name I wud have rechristened hyd as "Hydra good". Okie i wont go abt extolling the greatness of Hyd now.
I grew up in the wonderful, laidback,Nawabi city Hyd. My stay in Chennai -where "barota","bajji" and "sundal" stalls r as ubiquitous as "chaat bandis" in Hyd, is {and will certainly be}relatively very short compared 2 that of Hyd but enuff for this blog. Also innumerable visits in my childhood do supplement the comparison.
So which is better?Without an iota of doubt PHIR BHI DIL HAIN HYDERABADI & I like the most beautiful language of the hyderabadi urdu
The first thing that strikes u on landing at the Chennai Central is the unbearable stench emanating from the umpteen gunny backs filled 2 the brim with fishes. Ppl say "singara chennai" but i feel "Stink aara Chennai" wud b better .The other thing is the perfect discipline which the coolies diligently follow. They never enter the train unlike their hyderabadi counterparts where a plethora of coolies simply barge into the train oblivious 2 the troubles of the disembarking passengers and the air full of "maa ki.." and "behen ki .." stuff!!. Of course the coolies do charge exorbitant rates and that is their forte. The modus operandi is 2 pick out the bakras-non tams, frm the trains and convince them in a smooth, genteel manner in a "khichdish" lang infested with tam wrds and a few gult words being thrown in here and thr. For eg. he will offer 2 carry ur baggage till the auto stand and quote an outrageous,out-of-the-world 3 digit figure which will leave u shell-shocked. More shocks at the taxi stand where the guy will quote exactly the double of the prev 3 digit and triple if u have a comp which is a kinda ' white elephant' . If ur a tam, well all u can do is a bit of bargaining and reduce it slightly but u do run the risk of being rebuked in the choicest of tam expletives wen u have reached ur destination, on not complying to his demands! The autowallahs also deserve a mention here . The state-of-the-art digitalised meters in the autos will surely catch ur eye but wait, they r purely for decorative purposes and agreeing 2 a pre-fixed flat rate will not burn that big a hole in ur purse as against metered fares. I do not recall any instance of entering an auto or taxi with equanimity in Chennai.
The N.Indian stuff in the restaurants will leave u fuming and leaves a lot 2 b desired. Very few hotels dish out quality stuff and it is beyond the reach of students. Did someone say "Be Roman while in Rome"?? Well the "roman" stuff or "chennai" stuff namely idly, vada etc er quite good in the eateries . Regarding entertainment the theatres r not at all good and this is very disappointing for movie buffs like me. On many occasions i have seen movies in black with many empty seats indicating a tie -up. I badly miss the 35Rs ticket in Hyd!!
After all the flogging-to-death time for goody stuff akin 2 my first post. The traffic sense is amazing and a hyderabadi driver will never find it easy here. The theatre{drama} circuit is quite bright and the reverence of Chennaites towards religion and God is well known. The city is up by 6 am with evrbody sporting "vibhuti" unlike the laidback attitude of hyd.The hyd attitude of "chalta hain" or procrastination has caught up with me big time and i am one of the innumerable victims of that attitude. An evening near the beach will rejuvenate ur spirits and the tides have washed away my worries many a time. The transport network is xlnt and the local trains have an amazing frequency at a very cheap rate. So i do not loathe Chennai too but do have certain points against it.So which is better?Without an iota of doubt PHIR BHI DIL HAIN HYDERABADI & I like most beautiful language of hydrabadi urdu

As an Andhraoite, I have been here for more than 8 years and learnt so many thins from this enchanting chennai.
People have given different opinions scribbled about hyderabad and chennai, most of them have exhibited certain feeling about two cities.
I would say that Chennai is the best city ever in india, there will not be any camparison about this beautiful orthodox city with any modern designed cities like hyderabad.
Ironically, the city holds with beautiful sense of courteous manner people in every area, they politely calls SIR to every one before they make anything to say, the city which has peace and unviolence by the muslim community here in tamilnadu and some times I am unfazed to see the muslim people study kuran in Tamil language, that is really amazing here. There are lot of things to say about this city......
Do you find any place like chennai which accomadates daily cost of living starts from 50rs? Do you find the ethical traffic rules without police men like chennai? You know how many charities and old age homes established and serving lakhs of people for centuries.
Can any one tell me how many hindu people dare to go to old city? How many people dare to wander around amusement parks and shopping malls in Hyderabad?
Can you tell me the most threatened terrorists are produced from which city?
Last but nothing least, The most of the top brains in India, the youngest achievers and honors and top IT Managment designations and political icons, led by the tamil nadu people which thier names ends with alphabet 'N'.
Sincerely,
Ramana. |

Hyderabad yarron.. you can really live a easy life here in hyderabad. People are very helpful and friendly. But people are also rough(when it comes to fights). You can live a nice standard of life here in Hyderabad. I have never heard people saying Hyderabadi's are not helpful. You have many places to spend quality time during weekends. You have Tank Bund, which is surrounded by IMAC thatre, Snow world, Sanjeeviah park, Indira Park, Birla Temple, NTR gardens, Lumbini park with Musical fountains. Birla Planetarium, Does any city have so many places in the vicinity of 2 kms. I bet there might be no city in India so entertaining. The best part is here the night life is also good, you get food till the early hours. Can any hotel in india does not have Hyderabadi Biryani in thier menu? I bet any one would go for Hyderabadi biryani. It is feast to have biryani. I have been in Mumbai, Pune, bangalore, and chennai. I found people in Hyderabad and mumbai are more friendly than any other city. You ask any address in hyderabad people will tell you clearly how to go there. And in mumbai, people will take care of you in a local train when you tell them tha you are new to the city. That is the affection you find in people in these cities. Folks, the Hyderbad city has not seen much development in the recent years as the Congress govt has concentrated more on the rural areas and the farmers. but still you have nice infrastructure coming in the years. Just wait for a coule of years, Hyderabad will show you some good stats about the infrastructure as compared to othere cities in india. Have you ever seen a cafe, where people relax having irani chai.. You can find Coffee day, or Barista,, but have tea in one of the cafe's in Hyderabad.. it is the place to hang around. Finally.. the International airport which has recently come up is far far better than, the bangalore airport. You should see the outer ring road of Hyderabad, you need to travel at 80 Kmph, on this road. The width is huge and you can reach speeds up to 150 Kmph on these roads,.. bangalore or chennai cannot dream of these things at all.Hyderabad.. ultimately rocks............ no comparision to any city.. |

I must be very much honest to this and let us accept few facts about both the cities.first of all Chennai is a very good city overall, having a very good infrasructure very good industries and possibly everything, any city can aspire to become another new york.but inspite of all these the humid weather, the proximity to sea and also the pollution makes it hard.for chenni i would rate 4 out of five stars.in case of HYD,the weather, the scenic palces, the industries etc give it an edge over other cities.but the problem is the it is not built in a planned manner conjusted roads, narrow lanes and illegal settlement of migrants etc add to the ever existing headache.but nevertheless it has the capacity to take over chennai provided a good planned development of the city.i would rate it 3 out of 5 stars etc.also to the ever existing danger if communal violence is also risky to live in the city. |

Ofcourse Its CHENNAI
Please done compare chennai with hyderabad.
I was there in chennai for 3 years and hyderbad for past 6 months. So i am used to both the cities..So from the experience i got i will list of the varience in the 2 cities.
Hyderabad Roads
-------------------------
Hyderabad - Main city is hitechcity...There are many ways to reach hitechcity...Among thr roads only 1 road is gud to come tat is amerpet to hitech city.
The other two roads are miyaput to hiteccity and jntu to hiteccity - u know how these roads are damaged?there are no one to take care of the roads.if u want to reach miyapur which is 5 km from hitechcity..During rainy days it will take minimum of 2 hrs to reach miyapur alone.
If rain comes tats it , the entire city will be damaged.
I hate hyderabad like anything.
Chennai Roads
----------------------
Chennai has too many fly overs .......So traffic is not a big deal in chennai.
NDTV Report
------------------
Recently in ndtv thy took the major cities traffic rate and compared.
They announced "chennai is the least traffic zone."
"In hyd u can go 16 km per hour
but in chennai u can go 22km per hour"
Foods
---------
Hyderabad foods
-----------------------
Only a non vegetarion person can survive here in hyderabad.
Whereever u trun u can c a hotel which will be a non vegetarian.
U can c very few veg hotels in hyd.i can even count on the number of veg hotels.
Chennai foods
--------------------
60% veg hotels & 40% non veg hotels
u can take food in chennai even at 12 o clock in the midnight.
But in hyd it is not like tat
Cost of living
------------------
Hyderabad cost of living
---------------------------------
Hyderabad cost of living is too high....
Chennai cost of living is ok kinds comparing hyderbad
I love to drive 2 wheelers a lot. After coming hyderabad due to drive in the damaged roads i got a problem in my back bone.
Becz of tat my doctor asked me to stop my driving itself :-(
I hate hyderabad like anything..............
I Love chennai....Will reach chennai soon !

pals, i stay in chennai and i have also been to hyd.many scribbled chennai having largest busstation n railway station.i think having isnt important, maintaining is important. having educated people, this is the most worstly maintained city to my knowledge.moreover people coming from other state suffer a lot to this harsh climate with summer through out the year, sticky sweating, dust, open garbages, slums, pollution.people can go out only after 6 in the evening n even to great beach of india, the marina beach, being crowdy like and stupid things around a village fair ,where u dont know when tsunami comes!(here u can find bitches from Rs10 even in this inflation).when it comes to food, the famous chettinad dishes, not spicey and stupid taste.vast city u need to start very early and more over here their are no metres to autos and surely they will bang u by high charges. shortly no tasty foods, not a good climate ,no good place to around and boring long hair with flowers girls. |
