most beatiful is karnataka. Hampi, aagumbe, Kodagu, Karwar, Badami, Mangaloor, Pattadkallu aihole, and so on.

But the whole india is beautiful with its kind and peaceful people. I have not been out of karnataka (except maharashtra), but i have seen in TV and read about all places a lot. I have visited Five other countries like Europian and U.S. but nowhere I found country like India.

All places in India are beautiful. Since India is the most beautiful place (in fact, the best place in the world), all of its contents are the most beautiful. But perhaps a great sample is in the state of Kerala.
Nonetheless, India is the world, and the world is India. India is yesterday. India is today. India is tomorrow. Bharat Zindabad! Jaihind!

There is no best place in India. Go to any unknown place, stay there for few days - you will start feeling this is the most beautiful place in the world. Still the followings are my favorite -

Araku Vally - virgin beauty
Vizag - Superb combination of Sea and Mountain
Kovalam - Splendid sea beach
Kaushani (near Simla - the exact name may be little different) - Silent mountains
Silent Vally (Kerala) - Raw nature in Jungle
Lava/Lolegaon (near Siliguri - west bengal) - Endless Himalaya
Ranchi - Bundle of falls and hills
.......................
The list is never ending

That I am afraid it is for me am impossible question, I can only answer as below:

There is no flaura and fauna like India's.
There is no Topography like India's (from pristine beaches all the way to, and in between, up to the Himalayas).
There are no cities as wild and exciting as those in India.

But most importantly there are NO people on the planet that can match the kindness, warmth, genuine concern, interest in foreigners, and "Chanti' of the India people. They are as close to divine as you will find on this miserable globe!

I guess one answer (must be) sitting with a Indian anywhere in India and just being 'Chanti' and savoring the moment and the view.

Whole India is beautiful But I believe that the North eastern parts of India are very beautiful specially the areas around the Himalayan region.

Hi there ,
I am from India's neighboring country Pakistan .I believe India on the whole is beautiful .
The people are very nice , the hospitality cannot be matched with .The diversity is there .The food and architectural buildings etc all worth appreciating!
I know more about Tamil nadu -India's southern state .It has scenic beauty , waterfalls , Hill stations , Dravidian style temples etc

Subcontinent is one of the beautiful places on earth .
There cant be just a categorized beautiful place , because you'll see one and other and then wonder how can we categorize the beauty created by God .we can only enjoy !

I guess u r from Shimoga. I have never been to Shimoga, but i guess in your opinion, the best place in India is Shimoga, and i agree. Cos for an Indian living in the Thar desert, his small home in the desert will b the most beautiful place on earth. Its a combination of crores of such beautiful places that makes our country, one big beautiful place to live in.
