* Cost of living is low compared to other cities
* Good educational institutes
* Upcoming IT industries
* Warm people though not Hi-fi
* Availability of both north and south indian food

i ll prefer chennai.
there are beaches.
cost of living is low.
it may not be hi-fi. but even bangalore was not hi-fi some 10 years back.
b'lore climate does not keep you active.

Seriously..Chennai is a more spaced out city..and less hassles..unlike b'lore which is too fast and too cramped now that every tom,dick, and harry wants to go there..

bangalore !!! its the best place to freak out ..... and i am guy who has been in both places ...... in chennai everyone is out to kill you ....when i was in chennai atleast 2 auto hit me and another 2 trashed my foot ....

its way much better than chennai.
chennai is crowded, its climate is heavily humid in summer.
plus bangalore is quite he when compared to chennai.
also tourism wise bangalore gets an upper hand over chennai.

Bangalore - weather is a definite plus in its favor. Also the mingling of several cultures and the welcoming nature of Bangaloreans.

The nightlife is also better in comparison to Chennai.

I would Prefer Bangalore as it is the Silicon Valley of India and it is the fastest developing city in the country and it is the city which is providing lot of new oppurtunities to youngsters.

Not Chennai as it is still a bit backward city compared to other metropolitan cities of india like Hyderabad,Ahmedabad and Lucknow.

I am glad to see your question is good. Both place is very plea sent. Bangalore is cool place and more traffic city. But Chennai is good for all . the people and places of interest and temples and monuments are more and cheap city for tourist. You may go for web side in Chennai or tamilnadu and Bangalore or Karnataka
