i saw that many answerers answered "kerala is the best".
if is it so ask all the malayalees not to come to tamilnadu for their future carreer.even the basic education is not proper in kerala.see tamilians will never go to any other state for their higher study.
no one can tell that this is the best,,or this is the worst.
first be a good indian.dont rate ur state by urself to all answerers

KERALA is THE BEST,also known as literate state,kottayam in kerala is known 4 its 100% literacy,however literacy is not only the + point,good place 4 tourism and to go when ur stressed wid office work,kerala is full of greeneary,nice places lik backwaters ,a place wher 1 can freshen up their mind,its simply didnt get the name:god's own country,dnt u agree wid dis,?hav no idea abt worst state coz all states hav its own significance ,but the best is kerala |

Although every state has its high and low points, Bihar and Jharkhand have, unequivocally, by far, the worst reputation - in terms of social progress, law and order situation, quality of life, education/literacy rate, rights of women, politics, social diseases like dowry, caste system, etc.

As for the "best" state, you will hear a number of conflicting responses, and there is no unanimous answer for that. Punjab is both economically and socially forward, and among the best states.
Kerala is socially forward, but industrially backward. Tamil Nadu is industrially forward, but socially backward. And so on. |

all the north eastern states are best, because they don't have DOWRY system, and all the north india, west indian and some of the south indian states are worse as they are following the DOWRY system till date!!!!
