I would say just 2 who were created their marks in their tenures.
1> Lal Bahadhur Shastri as PM for organizing and successfully pulling India out of the 1962 Chinese assault, and then subsequently leading to a win in the 1965 Pakistani aggessrion. He lead by example and there is no second instance of a person so committed and honest about his ideals and principals.
2> Atal Bihari Vajpayee, for forging close ties with the US, pulling India out of the Socialist-Communist mindset, leading India to the nuclear age and launching a confident India to the biggest economic boom in the century in the fields of IT, BPO, Stock markets and Services. Made the world realize that India is a economic powerhouse, and people now are reaping its fruits. |
