No one can control India...If someone could, India would have been like US
You should ask who is best president..Of course, Abdul Kalam has been the best ever...He was more active and no rubber stamp pres like congress govt has always had...this woman Patil wont be any different..

Abdul Kalam...the recent buzz over Pratibha Patil is only 'coz she is a woman. What if it so happens that she becomes the new prez n then l8r doesn't care 2 hoots about the empowerment of women in India (1 of the main reasons why she is being lauded as the perfect candidate)? She didn't show any sensitivity towards the issue of 'betterment of women' when she was the governor of rajasthan...worth a thought! Then why is she being hailed as the 'Joan of Arc' for the women of India now?!

my dear friend. President of India does not control the country.

Soul of John
Traditionally, in the original culture of India, the raja-rishis were ruling all of India, and major parts of the planet Earth. This is the description of the most ancient litterature of this world, written in sanskrit language by the greatest of authorities like Brahmarishi Srila Vyasadeva. Raja-rishi means a person who has the qualities of a king, being by his nature a genuine kshatriya, a warrior class person, and simultaneously the qualities of a rishi, a wise, gentle and saintly sage. The combination of these characters is considered to be the most fruitful regarding ruling any country in the world. Last Vedic king to rule India and the planet with these sublime qualities was the son of Maharaja Parikshit, Maharaja Janamejaya. Nowadays however rulers of men on this planet are often far-away from embodying these qualities; although I give utmost respect to both Abdul Kalam and Pratibha Patil, I am not aware whether they belong to this category of men or not. In my opinion, the best ruler to control all of India is naturally a person of that order of elevated beings, a great and powerful person like a Raja-rishi, who has both wisdom, courage and benevolence. These are all divine qualities developed among the ruling class of men in ancient India, during the Vedic era in the previous yugas. That time there was the system of guru-parampara training up men from their childhood, according to their inborn tendencies.
To mention only a few, perfect examples of a Raja-rishi are: Maharaja Yudhisthira, Maharaja Harishchandra, Maharaja Parikshit, Maharaja Rantideva, Maharaja Rishabhadeva and Maharaja Dasaratha.

president of India is the head of state and not the head of the government... in fact the most powerful person is the head of the ruling party...

The first citizen of India should be, without any doubt, Mr. Abdul Kalam. However I don't think it's possible, somehow...

snonymous
"Control"???? Since when has the President of India ever had control? He is a mere rubber stamp, who if conscientious like Mr Abdul Kalam, would refer back issues that he was not comfortable with.

Modest
The best candidate for the post of the President of India is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and never Pratibha Patil. Dr. Kalam is a renowned scientist and a prudent leader with a clear vision for the technological, scientific and overall development of India. Pratibha Patil's only qualification is unstinted loyalty to the Nehru-Gandhi family. The President does not control India in any way. The real political and administrative powers lie with the Prime Minister.

As I am from Thiruvananthapuram and I know Mr. Abdul Kalamji very well , When he was working at I S R O in Thiruvananthapuram I know his nature and his behaviour as a man , he is so kind to others , friendly , hardworking in nature , he is keeping parochiality at every fields.

As a Hon: Post Mr. Abdul Kalamji is very able and noble person. Even as a higher post he is looking to the old friends in Thiruvananthapuram especially the Hotel Manager and family , His old I S R O co workers, etc.

Normally nobody will be see like this type of character. So I am admiring his character always.

In the case of Smt.Prathiba Patiel , in the first impression is not good, because she opend talk with a media that she will not be a puppet to any body like political leaders .

But she want to study the Constitution Of India first before talking to news persons.

So I and all of normal Indians are with Mr. Abdul Kalamji .

I think to handle whole India is not easy task The person who is loved and respected by public may not having that much capability A person like Abdul Kalam is honourable but I am unaware of Pratibha Patil But I will prefer for A P J Abdul Kalam He can at least look after for educational condition of nation He may help our nation to b honourable in scientific background

Abdul kalam is the best who can really put India on the top of the world and can change the things around

If either one is for the people that one must rule with the people since without the people there is no government; the people are the true government, and ruler; having one stick we break; but us being tied together if one tries to break us; it's hard to break the 12 sticks together, but to break one by itself is easier, all should unite.
