Charminar or a mosque of the four minarets, is a monument located in the City of Hyderabad, the capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.

Charminar was built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 to commemorate the eradication of plague.

Charminar is protected by the Archeological Survey of India, which is under Government of India..

It is one of the monuments that India can be proud of.As all monuments belong to The State so is Charminar. This is what I think and it must be correct.

Charminar used to belongs to Nizam dynasty, it was build in early 1600's to mark the end of epidemic plague. Sardar vallabhai patel invaded Deccan after independence with Indian army and dethroned nizams and then it became part of India.

Now its under government of India.

Charminar and its surroundings was build as replica of heaven on earth, many poets have described this scenario in there verses.

No stones were used in construction of this marvel.

Deccan was only state which used to have its own currency, railways, Public transportation & postage.

So called APSRTC ( Andhara pradesh state road transport corporation) was formed by Nizams in the year 1931.

Hyderabad was never under the rule of Britishes.

Charminar is not a Residence....its a public property (these days) and owned by government of Andhra Pradesh.

The last thing I would hear just before becoming deaf is that someone owned the real charminar.

I really wonder how ppl get such questions.

Honestly: These brilliant people are too heavy to digest in places that have great history with old palaces, kingdoms and tombs and stories.

Varun
It's a Public Spot and Public Property ( under AP Govt )
