India is a wonderful place. The people are nice and caring and they will help you if you need it. Many Americans think that India is nothing but poor but that is not true. There is much more. There are also many beautiful sights to see. The Indian tradition is also very interesting.

You have to come to india to see what it is like..I am a punjabi too...and the food here is awesome..Punjab is rich state and its always great to visit my homeland..Amritsar in punjab has Golden Temple ( try googling it) ,,,its the most peaceful place in the worl..i just love sitting there by the pond..and going there at nights..Its so mesmerising...I miss Punjab too!!

The people of India are gentle, spiritual and welcoming, in my experience. They are also very ambitious, particularly in the middle classes - they place a great emphasis on good education and are prepared to work very hard to improve their position in life. Young people in India are fun and adventurous, much the same as most other parts of the world.

If you go there, you will see beauty and tragedy. The same country that created the magnificence of the Taj Mahal also contains some of the most devastating examples of poverty in the world. But the one thing I noticed about Indians is that, whatever their situation in life, their spirit is strong.

When I came home from India, I felt unsettled for weeks afterward (but in a good way). It's a place you can't help being affected by.
