We Indians are into middle of culture collapse. This is also famously known as INDIAN HYPOCRACY.
As we are very much impressed by BRITISH and US- we are following their culture not our culture.
So, neither we could be MODERN as there is TRADITIONAL element is also inside. This is why we are confused and behave like immature people.
ABOUT SHILPA EPISODE: I saw that coverage on TV. This is strange that people shows concern about a man like Gere kissing Shilpa [ who enjoyed that thoroughly ] but people did not raise voice against cheap and 3rd class ads of underwears where a girl in short skirts and hald of her breats coming out..asks to TAKE IT OUT.
CONCLUSION: No one has any conclusions- we are destined perhaps. Divide and rule was tried by BRITISH for 250 years and same formula is still running more successfully after more than 50 years of freedom.

Don't worry.. they will burn Shilpa's effigies too.... To be honest, its more to do with culture difference.... I don't however agree with your comment about sexy sarees... Is it that anyone wearing a bikini or minis in the west is ogling for sex?.. I guess everyone has the right to wear and do as they wish.
