Are you serious I never saw this in ALL the time I was there? which part and where are you talking about exactly?

Netmunda
First of all obesity is not just a problem of developed countries, it is becoming a problem for the developing countries as well, such as India. There are many factors which influence people to become obese. You cannot blame someone who is overweight, because it is not entirely their fault. It is the adoption of a fast pace lifestyle that is responsible. There are many fast food joints opening up all over india, such as McDonalds, KFC, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays, Subway and people are developing tastes for such places, which were not available a decade ago in India. These chains also specifcally cater to indian tastes by combing indian favorites into the food menu. Other factors besides lifestyle, include genetics, rate of metabolism, and many other factors. Genetics plays a vital role, and this has been also proven, you are more likely to be obese if your parents are obese, and that doesn't mean someone has to eat a whole lot to gain weight. It means that if you are predisposed to gaining weight, even if you consume very little you will gain weight.

first not all indian kids are fat .mostly it is in the parts f gujrati that is because of the oily fods they eat. and others are due to rice and western foods

robisurf
Too much TV, computer games, etc. and not enough of exercise like in outdoor games.............also too much of packaged snacks (lays, etc.) instead of healthy home cooked meals........and don't forget the easy availability of carbonated waters!!!!
