Why are most of the Autowallahs in Bangalore dishonest?
They charge as much as Rs. 20/- for a distance of 1.5 km. Sometimes they even charge Rs. 25/-, and when I bargain, they just refuse to ply. 80% of them are like that. All that I can do is give a scornful look at them. I know even an autowallah giving an excuse of "Night Charge" at 8:30 or 8:45 pm, despite my source and destination being on the main road itself. People say that the Autowallahs in Kochi are more honest (provided you know the destination).
Well i have been to the better 20% of the lot as i don't travel in a rick often but whenever i do they r nice people and most of them go out of the way to help u
like a example i took a rick to go to Cantonment railway station and the roads of Bangalore were jammed as usual so he took a short cut to avoid the traffic and we got to the station before time after that i said thank u to the rick driver and he said it is becoz of some dishonest drivers that the whole community of them are considered as cheats ....
well i agreed with him but
do u feel happy when u get a rick to go ur way in ur terms ... just say thank u when it happens it makes u a better human being ...

Simple, note down the Police ID Number stuck in side the autorickshaw and complain to Police with this ref. Next time he will not do so.

it's a big city and they're used to tourists that don't know what they're doing.
if you know what it should be, insist on the right price, and negotiate it before you get it. if they won't drive you for that price, just go to another one, there is plenty of competition.

yaa every one is like that in india.. the history is great but the curremt history is soo dirty.. u just know a 25% of it and there is more... if u are not an indian then go back to ur country ur country right now...
