OOOhhh...what a question...!! Women are to be protected seeing their religion in India...? Perhaps that is not the real spirit of your question....isn't it ...?

As you have seen, violence against women in India is not a issue of religion alone. The reason of violence should be analysed in depth.
It is often said that women of the minorities, dalits and weaker sections are more attacked than others. They are the more vulnerable section in India where literacy is lower, poverty is rampant, land is mal-distributed, economic disparity is more...etc. etc. BUT, when India is "rising", these must be stopped.

in india..... not only hindu women even muslim christian buddhist etc etc.... no one is safe... it is just because of the kind of law we have here... no one takes action... and specially for poor women... daily we hear cases of women being molested, eve teasing n all... its our police who dont take action.... but in the additional details u specially pointed on muslim men.. see its not like hindu women have danger from muslim men... there is nothing like that... religion has nothing to do with this... any man who have evil thoughts in their mind can harm a lady irrespective of any caste religion n all...

In most of the families women are tortured by her SAANS (Mother in Law) or Bhabi (Sis in law).

Women rapes are reported but raping of boys by nymphos are never reported !

If a girl goes to see movie in the night show with provocative dress - she is bound to be harassed in any country of the world.

Only difference in India is Indian men are more perverted than most of other countries.

They are protected but they have to be aware of the laws and also about their own way of leading their own life. Well i can say that women know how to protect them and if they try then it is not a tough job.
