I have many friends in or from Mumbai. But never seen any Mumbaikar of your quality. You must be a defective piece manufactured in Mumbai factory.

Jeans may have some old link with Mumbai but its never mentioned as Mumbai culture. See the site below to know what Maratha dress used to look originally.

Don't you eat Tandoori dishes - I have seen many Tandoori restaurants in Mumbai. Tandoori is originated from Sikhs and Punjab. The presence of Tandoori restaurants proves that either Sikhs are eating their food only or Marathas has started taking Sikh food.

I think you are trying to undermine the dignity of Sikhs and residents of other cities. You are under wrong impression that only Mumbaikar wear good clothes, jeans, eat food, watch our movies (What is meant by our food and our movies?). Don't Mumbaikar migrate to other cities and adopt the style of living of those cities. I think you are offending the religious sentiments of Sikhs by saying that they cut their hair, remove their "Pagdi" and are ashamed of their culture, when they come to Mumbai. No metro city has its own culture now-a-days. Every big city has become a combination of different cultures. So plz for God's sake, desist from uttering such words. OURS IS A COUNTRY WHERE UNITY IN DIVERSITY EXISTS. PEOPLE OF ALL RELIGION, CULTURE, AGE, GENDER CO-EXISTS HARMONIOUSLY. You seems to be prejudiced.

and since when was jeans ur culture? n y dont u bloody mind ur own business?

Sikhs R very proud of their long hair, kada & turban.
Very rarely would a sardar eschew Turban / long hair.
Dont give a wrong picture of Mumbaikars.

Who is a Mumbaikar? White shirt, white kurta and gandhi topi. Vada Pao and Missel....Fish curry rice....Local train in Western, Central and Harbor line.... Ganpati.....if you have all these in your life, then you are a Mumbaikar
It's not the Jeans clad, mobile totting, surviving on McDonald or Pizza hut yuppies are the Mumbaikars. YOU are a migrant.... like any other community and you lost your identity.
Go to Kings Circle, Koliwada, will see, Sikhs are Sikhs, and they feel proud of being sikh.

what is your problem. if u feel it so bad, go to punjabu start wearing a turban and a beard and eat their food, wear clothes like them, tit for tat.
do u think that people from outside mumbai would not watch movies made in mumbai. if it happens, all the mumbai producers will starve.
