Why do some people lie that Bangalore is better place than Chennai?

I agree with Casper. I am neither from Bangalore nor from Chennai. I visited both places in last May. Bangalore was way much much cooler than Chennai. I also had visited Ooty that time. So to show the difference, at Ooty we had to carry winter wear. Bangalore, we were in normal outfits, i.e. jeans. Chennai, we were in cottons, linens (but still Chennai weather gave me pimples and oily and dark skin)

So weather is the first and most affecting factor for Chennai and Bangalore, in a negative and positive way respectively.

I felt my home town cooler before I visited Bangalore. Now I can see my home town is almost equal to Chennai, except humidity (more at Chennai).

Language was a problem a year before for me also. You can never expect a conversation in Hindi. I had to struggle to explain simple things.

Bangalore has grown into a real metro, but Chennai has got the status just because it has been given since old times.

Truth is truth always, you can deny it but can't change.
Better you grow up.

Ask people outside bangalore and chennai, you will know what is the truth.

Firstly you are wrong in saying that Chennai has everything that Bangalore has. Firstly the Weather, Secondly the People.
Though it has been ages since i last visited Chennai my first impression was it is not a secular city, the people refuse to communicate in any other language other than Tamil which is not the case in Bangalore. To hell with the PUB culture in Bangalore its not important because if you have the Balls you can do it in Chennai as well.
Secondly if you have stated that "Some idiots" think so in your Question which indicates that you need to definitely visit a psychiatrist yourself, and also make sure that the next time you ask PUBLIC QUESTIONS don't use offensive language because you don't have a right to.
There are quite a few other things that make Bangalore a better place than Chennai, but i am sure you will guess what they are.
