Why does Raj Thackeray have a problem with north Indians in Mumbai? |
Every news agency is covering the story, but I heard about it only recently. I would like a good explanation of the circumstances under which this whole issue emerged. |

raj thakare is leader of maharasthra nirman sena which is a split group of shiv sena. sguv sena as well as mah, nirman sena are regionalist outfits and their main strategy is to arouse regional sentiments and create hatred among various communities. the organizations like samajvadi party and bahujan samaj party from futtar prades and some regional organizations of bihar have also played dirty game in maharashtra. unfortunately, the all india nationalist organizations have failed and made way for regionalists, communalists and seperatists in most parts of the country. |

India is a country that belongs to Hindus...whether psedo seculars like you like it or not...India may be a secualr democracy on "paper" but we all know that tacitly India is a hindu country and ONLY belongs to Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains...If people like you have a problem with that, then tough luck....
The majority of Indians are HINDU (83%)
India is the country where the majority of the world's hindus reside
India is the birthplace of Hinduism
Internationally it is Hinduism with which India is associated
It is hindus who are responsible for India's growing superpower status and rising economy
Hinduism was the first religion in India and Hindus were the first people in India
So please don't give me that bull that Hindus have no more right over India than the minorities...The only people that India belongs to is the dharmic people (hindus, buddhists, sikhs and jains)...last time I checked the purpose of partition was so that India can become a muslim free country...this means that muslims are living in India as a matter of priviledge and not as a matter of right..... |

Raj Thakeray is pandering to a parochial Marathi vote bank, which he hopes to build by hogging media limelight in the name of rights of Mumbaikars and Maharashtrians , who are losing out due to the constant influx of people from other states. |

Raj Thackeray is attempting to capture the Marathi vote bank by falsely propounding that poor Bihari / UP migrants are usurping Marathi jobs and straining the infrastructure of Mumbai. The reality is that these poor migrants work very very hard in so called menial jobs such as dhobis, taxiwalas, istriwalas, hawkers, dudhwalas, vegetable vendors, fruitwalas, watchmen, servants and sometimes construction manual workers. Marathi young men are not interested in doing this type of hard work. Raj and his ilk attract the lumpen class, unemployed Marathi youth who find that goondagiri and extortion is far more paying than doing hard work. Furthermore the infrastructure is strained because these poor people stay in illegal slums and shanties. However the Bombay Municipal Corporation which is controlled by Marathis, has permitted the proliferation of these illegal shanties, and does not take effective steps to raze illegal encroachments - undoubtedly because of some 'pecuniary' considerations.
Because the MNS has the covert backing of Home Minister RR Patil - NCP they know that they can literally get away with murder and nothing much will happen - as is the present case where 2 people have been murdered by these MNS lumpens. Raj has shamelessly apologised to the family of the murdered Marathi man Dharrao, but not a whisper of apology has come for the poor Bihari watchman who was murdered by MNS goons. Undoubtedly this culture of gundagiri is the Marathi culture that Raj Thackeray wants to espouse. The Mumbai police are openly saying that they were prevented by their political bosses, from taking effective steps to nip the violence in the bud. This means that the Maharashtra govt is as culpable for the loss of life and property as the MNS. Ultimately we hapless tax payers have to bear the burden of these acts of terror. Someone ought to file a PIL demanding that the MNS pay damages. |

Next year the state is going to elections. Do you still need more explanation as to why Raj Thackeray (leader of an insignificant MNS), did the whole "Marathi Manoos" stunt. |

this is the dark side of our political system. any one can form a political party and contest election.raj thakre was nephew of bala saheb thakre but when he was denied to take the charge of shiv sena he formed MNS. even shiv sena does not have enough presence in maharashtra beyond cities. so the fate of MNS was clear. he lost to make any significant presence in elections. having no any option he played this sentimental game to lure maharashtrian votes. though in long term he is not going to be benefitted. we have seen Bhindrawale and kashmiri militant, even ulfa and naxalites too. so any such act may create short term division in society. this is the era of glolisation and every one including the literate people of maharashtra knows that their son or daughter may get employment any part of world so they will not be involve in such act. it is the development theory of country that is attracting investment and MNC to open their company in india and all those investor need security. Raj is trying his last attempt to survive his party. |

Raj thakray left shivsena because uddav the son of bal thakray was goven the chair. He formed a seperate political party mns which fought the elections without any success. he wanted to some how come into the limlight and he chose to attract maharashtrians by creating crusade against north indians particularly UP and biharis who are main migrants to the city.the same tactics was adopted by bal thakray in 60s for political gains. raj hasno sympathy but with marathi manoos but only self interest.Media has helped him to become populer figure by constantly showing the violent scene. |

Raj Thackery has stolen the idea of Bal Thakery to project himself as the real successor. This would not have attracted the attention of the ordinary Indians but for the dirty politics of Samajwadi party netas. If there is to be punishment both parties should get equal punishment. |
