The poor population is getting an increase more than average, in India, a lot of people that are successful also leave the country, like me, which is bad, if we take all the Indians from the Uk, the poor wouldn't show so much. India is very rich country, we do have our rich people, and i would say the reason our economy is doing good is because of the fact that we have a population that is huge. Reasons India cannot keep going on is because of politics, religion, Pakistan, infrastructure. India will become one of the richest along with china and right now Mumbai is looking very bright for businesses because of the money in that city.

India, like many developing countries is poor for many different reasons. A history of colonialism is one factor. Overpopulation is another factor. Lack of education is another, even though certain classes in India are highly educated. Like many developing countries, there seems to be a very small middle class, and people are either members of the upper caste or lower caste. The history of the caste system in India, civil stife between the caste, conflict between Hindus and Islam are also contributing factors.

1, over population

it is not a weakness it is a strength...it will help us to make india a place wer ...labour cost is very cheap..which will attract most of all investors to india..

1, IT company leaving USA and recruting people from india
2, production company like cherlot and bmw opening their car factory in thamilnadu and rajystahn.

2,. bad politcian

politicians come to power by votes given by common cityzens...and cityzen only think abt {selfish} thier comminity...and family...they dont think abt india as whole....they vote..on relegius party....and make uneducated "GUNDA"...people come in parliments...

even though india was colony of other contries till b4 60 years....we got last 60 years....it was enough time to work and develop our contry to a super power.....

clear proof of selfishness.....we have any number of educated persones in india...if all of them are ready to educate 10 un educated peopel with out demanding any money......thats all...we will have 100% litracy in india

India is poor for many reasons, but population, a lack of educational opportunities for the masses, and a lack of access to good medical healthcare are among the top reasons why India is poor and will remain so in the near future.

India must overcome its large population growth, its neverending class struggles, and find a way to provide adequate water and food for all of its people to move out of third world status.

India, despite having all natural resources, physical features etc. are lagging behind. This is because of two reasons. One, the population growth. Two, the corruption.
1. The population growth is indirectly led to illiteracy in india because if people would be more aware they would know family planning.
2. Why does illiteracy exist even with the government launching so many campaigns, you may ask.
3. The ultimate culprit is "corruption". each official is sitting there only to gobble upon the incentives and the bribes, not for serving their country.
4. India can only progress as a rich country when corruption is removed. Half of the ministers are or have been criminals. That is the main obstacle to development of india.
5. thankfully, the government is taking some measures but as of now, they have been big time failures.

I do not like speaking in such a way about a country that i am proud of but if you look down THERE, you will realize the naked truth.
