It's not everyone who treats the poor horribly, just the oppressive, self-righteous kinds. But, you're right, it is horrible, and truly outdated, and our government is continuously working on changing that.
But, if you think about it all civilizations and countries have a caste system. It's just called a class system. England & France had it during the times of feudalism...kings & queens, scholars, knights, paupers, slaves. It's just defined by jobs. |
