Would any of you(those people who "have not" been to India) ever like to go and visit India ?

Please explain WHY and also what you "think" about India from what you have heard about the country.

yes!! I heard it was a very beautiful country!!! I have many friends from India who recommend that I not believe what i see on t.v. about the country. I have been told that there are many big cities that are thriving well.

YES, I would love to go to India. One of the oldest cultures in the world, the foundation of so much that we are now? It would be fascinating to visit there.

Nope. I've seen all the foreign culture that I care to see when I was in the military.

YES, I would love to go to India because it just seems like a beautiful country. I have heard that it can be very poor in some areas, but that doesn't really matter to me.

I'd visit if I had the chance. Amazing culture, beautiful textiles, super-tasty food, and great bollywood movies! My best friend from high school visited family there all the time, and it was always a joy for her to go home. And... she told me they had the richest ice cream too. (:

The bulk of the people who say they visit India probably can't afford it. The reason to visit is the question..........how has India been a friend to the USA? The extreme poverty and corruption endemic in India seems to say a lot about how it deals with other countries. Alevel playing field is what I have heard a lot of Indians ask for. That could prove to be quite an issue. People in India are starving in some areas, yet several hundred thousand metric tonnes of grain grown in India are sold in Europe for cattle feed, while many people in India at the same time have their hand out to the USA for charity. So to answer your question..........people who don't know the truth are probably willing to visit....but people who are aware....would wonder why they should visit a country that steals technology, starves its own people, tries to make becoming a Christian a crime, still has bride burning over dowry, caste systems, much other vile actions...slavery, killing of female babies.........so let me ask you...........................why ask that question? dont you have enough to fix there already ??????????
But to clarify....maybe I would visit if I was allowed to take photographs and gather information on the truth.....by the way...........my guess is that you are not a Dalit.....................soooo....are you a Brahmin ?????

NO....I have no desire to visit India.

Far too many Americans are now out of work, even homeless as the result of the jobs taken over by India.
America has been losing IT and other technical jobs to outsourcing to India at an alarming rate....

Why should I want to visit a country that has destroyed so many American lives and families?

Americans cannot compete in labor markets with Chinese, Indians, and Eastern Europeans, because the cost of living in North America is so much higher. In addition, there is a vast excess supply of labor in India that overhangs the labor markets there and keeps wages low.

FACT: India's outsourcing industry alone is expected to bring in $22 billion in revenue this fiscal year, much of that generated by U.S. companies.

The only American jobs that are safe are in domestic nontradable services that cannot be outsourced, and even in these domestic services, such as school teachers and nurses, foreign workers are being imported via work visa programs.

No, I cannot visit a country that is undermining and destroying the basic fabric of my own country....sorry!
