Okay so first of all i presume you will be staying about 5 to 7 days here so im going to tell you how much that it will cost on that frame work.
This is a rough guess now!
flights = €600 to €800
accommodation in an average hotel in dublin = €300
price of match ticket food, spending money in general in ireland for 5-7 days, i would say €500
transportation, taxis, buses and stuff = €50
so whats that about €1500 in all, and to be safe i would imaging you would probably need about more then that! (€1500 is equal to to 1,939.50 USD). So you could probaly do it on the cheap for about $2000! and thats a lot of money, for only 7 days, are you sure about this. But yes you could do it, even though you are 15 you could still do it. I would advise waiting till your 18, because you can drink here when you turn 18 and if you came over here at 15 years of age for only a short time, you will hate the place as there is nothing for you to do at that age over here. Our social culture is almost entirely revolves around alcohol.

So what time of the year exactly are you thinking of coming over and what team do you want to see, like a European heinken cup match or like a international? because if your talking about august or sept. or something like that... i believe that could be the off season.

What you need to do is find out exactly what type of match you want to see? What time of the year roughly are you talking about? If you give more details i can help you out and send you a few links to websites if you wanted, so you could research it properly?

just to add to Anseo's answer

The Lions tour happens this year (The mercurial Paul O'Connell at the helm) when all our best players head off to the southern hemisphere for their ritual rugby lesson at the hands of The All Blacks, The Aussies or the Springboks. So to see our top men in action choose your dates well (tip. Munster are the team to watch)

I'm 15 and tbh I think you are crazy! You want to go thousands of miles away to a foreign country on your OWN? Not even with friends or anything?! You will need thousands of Euro btw its a very expensive country

Because you're legally a minor at 15, I'm not even sure you will be allowed on the flight on your own, unless there is a specifically named person (like a relative) at the other end to meet you - the airlines have had to become very careful in recent years.

I am pretty sure that you will not be able to stay in a hotel or hostel on your own at 15.

I think that your best bet would be to find out if your parents have friends and/or family in Ireland who can put you up - you can either offer to pay them for a room, or you can do some odd jobs around the house instead. If your school has cultural contacts with Ireland, you should ask about homestays, or exchanges, and you might make a friend in Ireland to come back to the US with you.

Ireland is very expensive, even now with people demanding to be able to get more for less. If you want to stay in a city, you would have to pay more for public transport and to get into places. Dublin in particular is still quite expensive, especially to eat out. I would suggest eating in pubs rather than restaurants, but you cannot be in pubs after a certain time, it's no longer legal .....

I know I might sound like a nag and everything, but you are still very young and still quite vulnerable, so I would recommend finding a safe channel for you to visit Ireland.

Well the bad news is your only 15 you won't be able to get into a lot of things including hotels until you are 18!! In Ireland it is pretty much illegal to work under 16! If you get caught around Ireland on your own you and your parents will get into serious trouble!!

I'm sorry but my advice is don't come to Ireland!!

Like a Fox
To be honest you're a bit too young to be travelling to a foreign country you've never even been to on your own and as your a minor alot of what you can do is limited if you are under 18. Also Ireland is very expensive bare that in mind.

I don't think too many hotels or hostels would be keen on giving a room to an unaccompanied minor either. Besides i doubt you'd be allowed to live here alone at 15 unless you are under someones care or have a guardian.

Maybe you could find out if your school has an exchange programme or if their are any families that take on students for the summer. It would be a better and safer option. I agree with Orla c on this one.

on your own?
wait till your 18 and come over with some friends, you'll have a much better time! plus you can legally drink here at 18, if you come now at 15, you'll be bored out of your tree, the most you could do is go to the cinema, on your own! you'll be really lonely and you wont have fun at all!
flights can be anything from €300 up, transport will cost you at least €80 up, hotels usually cost €80 and above per night,
on top of this you'll need money for your ticket, food, and extra money just in case! you'd want to have well over €2000
here's a link any way so can check out prices:

Sorry not an answer but I saw that you live in New Hampshire lol. That's where I live =}. You probaly need a big wad of cash and you might not be old enough to check into a hotel alone but then again...Ive never been to Ireland and dont know the customs there.

Good luck!
Sean
