3 Mobile Broadband Ireland?
Want to get this type of broadband (just moved out to the official middle of no where!!!) and just wondering if anyone in the Roscommon/Carrick-on-Shannon area has the 3 mobile broadband and just wondering how is it?? And be honest!!! Any info or experiences or info would be great!!
Yeh mobile broadband is never great!
I have a certain type and its always getting crap coverage so I would recommend BT they seemed the best.

I'd check if you have 3G coverage in that area first, if you know anyone with a 3G on their phone just get them to check it for you.
I live in the middle of no where to and we wont have fixed line broadband until 2010, at the moment we use 02's 3G broadband and its pretty good. Its the only broadband we can get in this area. Only draw back is you have to have a contract for a bill phone to get it from them.

Hehehehe------well lol I live in the middle of a bog so I suppose its the middle of nowhere too.
I have a friend living in roscommon and she had 3G, but could never get coverage-------she ended up with vodafone broadband and swears by it-----great coverage she says
You do know you can have a trial run of 2 weeks with the 3G------you pay upfront , but keep the reciept------if your not getting coverage in the first few days then try another bring the 3G back and get your money back!
good luck

if you want something reliable you might have to go with satellite broadband, little pricey depending where you are. check out digiweb ireland

man, not sure if I'm helping as am answering just half the question. Here in Dublin it works absolutely fine, I have bought a sim card from Three and got the modem from ebay, unlocked and debranded (my modem can be used with Voda, O2 and Three). Best way to find out if it will work where you re is to find someone with a 3 phone and check if his/her phone works on 3G. good luck

better to get a normal broadband as their broadband is only if you use a laptop and for emails.

My daughter and her husband have mobile broadband...I'm sorry I don't recall which one it is...they also are in the country in Ireland and often find it a problem getting connected..if it doesn't work then don't sign the yearly contract..I think you have a few days before you sign up for it...
