Lake district. Camping. Cold, wet and miserable. But hey, that's what holidays in the UK are all about isn't it. |

i would suggest going to Kerry in the south west of ireland.it is a beautiful county with loads to offer people of all ages and tastes
the main tourist attraction is "the ring of Kerry"...its a fab scenic route than runs for miles...
there are many festivals, including "puck fair" in killorglin and the world famous "rose of tralee"
TRALEE
there is a great water park called the aquadome just outside tralee town.which also has sauna, steam room, gym for adults(a great affordable day out!)
there is a theatre called "siamse tire" which has shows running day and night as well as pantos for kids to enjoy.they often have traditional Irish dancing and singing for those who wish to experience the Irish culture
DINGLE
in dingle there is the famous "fungi" hes a dolphin!!there are boat trips running all day to go out to see him (very exciting for kids!!)you can also swim with him if you are prepared to get up at 5/6am!!
KILLARNEY
there is loads to see and do in killarney for tourists.there is torc waterfall etc for those interested in scenery/nature.
there is also torc house which is an old Irish estate from years ago.there are horse and cart rides for all the family to enjoy
the best thing about all these towns is that they are all very close together so you could experience it all!!!
for more info i would suggest going to www.discoverireland.com |

I suggest Trabolgan, Co. Cork. We have stayed there and it is a lovely area with good facilities. You would have to avoid the 'high' season as you can see from the prices:

On a point of order to the two previous answerers, the Lake District is in England, not Ireland. Likewise, we no longer have any Butlins resorts here (there used to be one at Mosney, north of Dublin).
For more information on Ireland please support my web site by visiting it. I hope you can arrange something. Peter |

try a butlins they have some special offers on for mid week and out of holiday dates so might be able to do something or a caravan may be the answer somewhere close to where you live to cut down travelling expenses. |

go to lahinch in county clare. forget dream ireland rentals they are an absolute rip off! plenty of great B&B's which are all very reasonable mostly family run which are in the centre of town. great beach, seaworld which is a swimming pool for the not so nice days which also has a great aquarium. furthermore the cliffs of moher are only 15mins away and have a great new centre for both adults and children! |

Hello Dareena,
what a nice name, first of all try to get in touch with Discover Ireland.com, and I am fairly sure they will find a little nich for you all some where in my country, I would dare to advise ye to consider a farm holiday, the youngster with Autism would love it as would ye all, CAMPSITES IN iRELAND ARE NOT AS THICK ON THE GROUND AS THEY SHOULD BE, AND THE SUMMER PRICES ARE JUST REDICULOUS altogether. but anyway, good luck in your search, and I hope you find a nice place to have a lovely holiday... and Late August and September is the time when prices are a bit cheaper for you...Bye Tony M |
