A good website for hostels and B&Bs in Ireland?

Hi all i am going to travel a bit of Ireland in the coming weeks.
What i am after is ideas for places to visit and stay.
I really want to visit the Island or location of the Father Ted tv show as i was a fan. After that anywhere suits but i like anything that can simply take my breath away or is well worth a long journey. Start point will be my home county of Tyrone.
Only ever been to Donegal and Achill on holidays.
All advice will be grateful. Thanx

A good website for up-to-date accommodation listings and other info is:
www.discoverireland.ie
It's the official website of Ireland's tourist board, and contains lots of ideas of things to do and festival/event listings.

If you're a fan of Father Ted, you really should make your way to Co. Galway. Craggy Island is somewhat based on the Aran Islands off the west coast ( in the last few years a Ted-Fest has been going on in February each year - brilliant stuff!).
I'd recommend visting Galway City itself too, a very vibrant, artistic place with brilliant cultural vibe and good pubs, music etc. From there you can get a bus to the ferry in Rosaveel to go to Aran. When you finish in Aran, I'd definitely head to Connemara for a look. Follow the coast road from Rosaveel through Camus, Carna and Roundstone into Clifden. Stunning scenery.
If you're coming from Tyrone, you could break-up your trip in Sligo and Westport on the way to Galway.

Try your luck on www.hostelworld.com, it's an Irish company so I'd be interested in hearing how well the represent Irish businesses.

During our last trip to the Emerald Isle, we stayed at the Wrynn family B&B in Salthill, a suburb of Galway. Their website is: http://www.fenaghhouse.com/. Mrs. Wrynn was a wonderful hostess, and the house was a short drive from the Cliffs of Moher (which we couldn't see, as the weather was too foggy during our stay!).

I use Hostels.com they are a rather good price and the reviews help a lot. I booked my 2 hostels in Ireland there.
