A petition for a Nippon Town in Ireland?
A partition for a Nippon Town in Ireland?
I want to have a Japanese style town, like a china town, but a Japanese one in Dublin Our Capital. Would anyone sign up for one, if we were to petition for one? I know I would love it, it would be so unique and brilliant.
Would you sign for one to be made? Additional Details I am not taking the p**s , I really want some popular culture like Japan. It's just because I love the culture that much.
There's the Japanese Garden at the National Stud in County Kildare .... good luck getting planning permission for anything in Dublin.

You do realise that these type of communities are created organically, Chinese/Japanese people settle in an area & over a period of time an area gains its nickname?
If there are no Japanese in Dublin to create a community, why would you simply create one? You do realise some people might think you're taking the p*ss.
Would a visit to the Japanese Gardens in Kildare help?

edit: there's an unofficial Asia Town along Parnell Street with Chinese & Korean restaurants and a few Chinese shops as well as a few Japanese restaurants throughout the city.
I said people might think you're taking the p*ss, I didn't say you were taking the p*ss.

why dublin?
dublin has everything and too much already
a lot of it should be spread out around the country
because a lot of it doesn't exist elsewhere
i'd say cork would be better
or a chinatown in Athlone
