Do not worry Mie,there is something for everyone in Eire,Dublin is one of my favorite places, the canal systems ,the people and culture,i have travelled all over and you just have to have the eye and be able to see what others miss,i have even taken the time to look at The Book of Kells, very fine tile work, and if you want romance, mystery and the F Mc Cool ,irish mythology, then it is a very rich place to be.Look for the story tellers, every town and village has one,you just have to be able to feel where they are.Good luck, you will never regret your visit if you have the sight to see.

Head straight for the West Coast. All of the West Coast is beautiful.
Don't miss the cliffs of Mohir (not sure of spelling).

Go South to Dingle if you want to meet other tourists, but don't discount Northern Ireland which is enjoying the peace dividend, and is also very beautiful.

The whole island is magical.

it will depend on what time of the year you come in summer you could go to killarney for the scenery ,mountains lakes national park shopping any of the big cities are good night life dublin is the capital of europe here. great bars discos night clubs the temple bar area is where its at . great beaches you don't have to travel far to see rural ireland . on the down side , irish summer consists of a few good days here and there it rains every other day its very expensive for every thing . drinking, eating out, taxis clothes hotels are probaly the most expensive in europe
