The Akon concert tickets were sold on general admission basis.
That means there's no seating for the concert, so yes, you can go to the concert together with your friends and stay in the group throughout the evening. It also means, if you're there earlier, you can be pretty close to the front.
With the general admission ticket, you will be directed to the general standing area and not to the grandstand (where there are seats) and I've been at concert at Simmonscourt before on the same basis last summer.
In any case, I had a look at Ticketmaster just to check - and it's confirmed, there's no seating chart available. That means, no seat restriction, you're free to move around the ground of the concert. |

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
 |
Not likely.
We had a similar problem at a Daniel O' Donnell concert. I was stuck with the 80 year olds at the back while Rodge had his pick of the 60 year olds up the front. |

if the tickets has a seat number, no. If you are standing and your friends are too or if you are sitting and your friends are too, YES just follow with them and you should be able to sit beside them! |

it depends on if you are standing or sitting |

Guess you could just move beside them - unless it is seat specific tickets and some one else in place --
Do not think you would have any probs staying beside your mates.

if you brought your tickets from ticketmaster then no, there is a number on the ticket, even if you are standing there is a section number/letter on your ticket, unless yours is the same as your friends you'll be seated/standing in different areas of the RDS. and ticketmaster doesn't change tickets, you could put an ad in a newspaper looking to swap your tickets for tickets in the same block as your friends. |
