im not from the west but like i go there constantly and i know that there is so much more modern talent over there so he should have picked some modern ones instead of all the traditional ones even though like fair play to them they are all good in there own lil ways |

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge

Sher that fella isn't even from the West, with his big Kerry accent!
They should have got beautiful Grainne and her sister SÃle to judge the people from the West. If they had been doing it then we're sure Fester and Ailin would have turned up. Aren't they only mad about the Seoige sisters! |

Sea, is fearr liom an Busker freisin, is duine eagasúil é.
Ach bhà RóisÃn milis agus traditiúnta, ba mhaith liom babóg cosúil sÃ
Yeah I prefared the Busker too, he's an individual .
But RóisÃn was sweet and traditional, I'd like a doll that looked like her |

hey why compare the show to britian? we are a seperate entity and nation.
the show was ok tonight. not great but the west of ireland has better charachters than dublin in my view.
the fiddle player was great. the little chinese girl was funny :D
heheh did anyone see the guy from gort with the string? hahaha what was that all about? |

Meh... I just saw it, but I thought the Busker Guy should have got through instead of Lilac something. |

they weren't all that bad, i missed the second half of it, going to watch it later. Daithi is just like shane lynch last week, when it came to the first auditions for Dublin he just couldn't say no, the majority was seriously crap and he let them go through. I'm from the East so naturally I want someone from the East to win it, if they don't I'd like to see those singing/guitar playing twins from Kilbarrack in Dublin to win it. |

Daithi not even from the west like, he only lives there. Ya they weren't 2 good tbh. The guy with the violin was cool though i thought! Those lilac people were shite!!
Just hope John Creedon picks some decent acts from down here!! |

I've mixed views about shows like this. In one way, does it reaffirm our counterparts impression that we go to the local on a Friday and dance around with fiddles and accordians, live in mud huts, and play with leprechauns on sunday mornings. Or is it our heritage, original and to be proud of?
Or, have we advanced to the commercial side of music, along with every other country.
With the Judges over the weekend, could anyone answer, what has Daithi every done for our music industry?? In effect, is he qualified to answer ANY music question? |
