Yeah, definitely, I find us a very friendly welcoming race, When I went to France they were the complete opposite and it made me appreciate Ireland so much more.

I am not Irish, so i can't say it; but the Irish people have always been hard working and productive, and have contributed greatly to science, the arts, and of course great booze and beer. You should be proud of your heritage!

Like a Fox
You'll find alot of people who say that..aren't really irish.

Completely agree with like a fox, modesty is a very Irish trait. Yes I'm proud but I'd never say 'I'm proud to be Irish, it would kind of defeat the point.

I am irish and "I'm proud to be irish!" I love the country of a lot of my heritage.

Its not the real Ireland, it has 100s of 1000s of foreign nationals, this I dont have a problem with but it diminishes the true identity of ireland and the values and the things that we were once proud of

Flying mop dog
Why are you proud to be Irish? It's not like you actually have to do anything to be Irish.

i am proud to be irish! dispite the way or country is 2day! i agree with a few of the points that congress3 made! we will some day b a united Ireland! but it will b years yet! or roads are terrible! and the government spends the whole time trying 2 please the bullies in europe! for example the lisburn treaty! and the euro i miss the punt so much! it was the ruining of ireland joining europe! our country isnt our own anymore!

SEAN J
I like the slogan... "Kiss Me I'm Irish". way way better

MadeInIreland
im proud to be Irish, but i wouldnt blag about it even though i really really love it! I think its great the way when you go to other countries some people claim to be irish because their great great grandads cousins wife was irish or something mad like that!

Why are you proud to be Irish. I'm Irish and to be honest when I look around and I see the country that I live in I don't know half the time if I should be proud or not.
The majority of Irish people seem to think its fine that our Island is sill split up and that its ok that we still have a foreign presence in our land.
our roads are shite in comparison with any other EU country.

We are a great people though having said all the above but I think it's an embarrassment that we are still partitioned and we have returned to being a British Lapdog.
