Another strike at Aer Lingus. What do you think? |
Do you think the workers are justified or are you sick of them regularly striking?
Would you be less inclined to travel with Aer Lingus because of the frequency of their strike action, and the unreliability of their flights because of it?
I'm just curious about the passengers' point of view.
Thanks |

Why When How
|
the union in Aer Lingus are crippling the company...they will never be able to compete financially with other air lines as long as the union have their grip.
On the other hand,t he pay for people with Ryan Air is pathetic.
A balance is whats needed |

depends on the reason for the strike..... |

Another day, another strike at Aer Lingus.
Even though we're socialists at heart sometimes we think that Michael O' Leary had the right idea. There's nothing worse than one or two bolshy workers who upset the apple tart (Bertie speak) for everyone else. |

You have two Irish airlines one that allows trade unions and one that doesn't.
It is obvious why one doesn't. They have no strikes to deal with. They always threaten to strike but it always goes to talks, Aer Lingus now more then ever can't afford to p*ss off their customers. |

I believe the Worker's are justified in their action. The overall quality of Aer Lingus and its service has become very shoddy since it became privatised, with a noticeable decline in its quality but a rise in price. I am certain that these cuts in quality have also affected the staffs quality of life.
As a result, I have stopped flying with Aer Lingus and now use Ryanair (Yes, I know, but they're competitively priced) for short flights to European destinations and Air Canada for North American destinations that I am often required to fly to. |
