Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge

At the moment we're known for our corrupt banks and corrupt politicians.

Bubbles Devere
Ireland is famous for Podge and Rodge first and foremost, secondly Dustin the Turkey, thirdly Dana and somewhere down at about 95th is Brian Cowen

This website should have everything you're looking for demographic wise.

As for what we're known for.. Besides the usual (drinking) we're also the worlds biggest consumers of tea.

We're also a neutral country and in the UN we're probably best know by either our push to ban cluster bombs or our former President Mary Robinson for her human rights work.

As mentioned above more recently we're probably best known for our dodgy banks and cronyism

Well as a Irish person I reckon we're fairly up shits creek at the moment....banks being nationalized, government satisfaction rating are at a all time low, economic based largely on foreign investment due to low corporate tax and very little/no regulation's. Not to be all doom and gloom but seems that we are pretty much ****** at the moment, after 15 years of economic boom....was bound to happen just not this quickly......being Irish I don't know what the international community thinks of us, but I have lived abroad for a bit and was always surprised how positive people were when they found out I was Irish.....although we were usually drinking at the time......
