hey just readin threw ur answers and they all seem to hav answered everything but be careful state of that young one meens that u think a girl is ugly dont say it meenin a comliment cos u would probably get slapped haha!!
oh and stuff like, score, shift, meet, be with and snog all practically mean the same as make out or "french kissng" haha

there is soooooo much irish slang but you will get the jist of what people are saying. irish people are so friendly. it's a small country. you can go anywhere and probably meet someone you already know! we eat like everything. fries are chips. chips are crisps. we have american themed restaurants. chinese, french. italian. you name it. ireland has it. best of luck. you will love ireland

You can eat at whatever time you want, there isn't really a schedule for the whole country. If you come over you'll eventually pick up the slang words(They are different all over the country i.e where I live in Ireland we use the slang word "quare" which means "very" but its used no where else in the country), and as for the unniversities it depends on what you are interested in and want to study, some are good for science where as others are good for history etc.

quare is usually used in northern ireland in the country, so it's probably not much use in dublin!

Trinity College Dublin - Trinity is Ireland's oldest and most famous university. It is located in the city centre and probably the most difficult university to get into. The book of Kells is located here, making it a popular tourist spot.

universtiy college dublin (UCD) is the university with the largest student population in the country. It has a broad prospectus and is located in Belfield, about 15 mins by bus from the city centre.

Dublin City University - DCU is the newest and probably the most modern of the universities in Dublin, Specailising in Business, Science and Engineering it is located in Glasnevin, about 25 mins by bus from the city centre.

Dublin Institute of Technology - The DIT's are a number of colleges joined together as institutes of technology. It also has a broad prospectus and has colleges based all over the city.

Institute of Technology Tallaght - IT Tallaght is one of the newer IT's to pop up in the city. It was recently promoted from being a Regional Technical College and has mostly Technology and Business courses.

the food is pretty much the same as anywhere else but fries are called chips, potato chips are called crisps etc etc

Well times are largely up to the individual but they normally fall into the following times:

Breakfast 7am til 11am
Lunch 12pm til 3pm
Dinner 4pm til 7pm
Then there's Tea, like supper in England, which is 8pm til 11pm

Irish people tend to make up they're own slang but you can normally gather what people are saying by the situation, if not just ask.

There are two forms of third level colleges in Ireland, Universities and Institutes of Technology, ITs are mainly focused on undergraduate courses both Bachelors and certificates, whereas universities focus on undergraduate and postgraduate bachelor to doctorates.

Foodwise, we are still besotted with potatoes but pasta is becoming the dominant carbohydrate. Are tastes have become more and more European as time progresses, but fast food American cuisine dominates that sector. Barbecue and other such cuisine from the states isn't very popular.

I've been to Ireland 4 times and breakfast and lunch are the same as the US, early morning and around noon. Dinner is a bit later usually around 7.

I've been to Dublin a couple of times. They eat pretty much the same times we do here. I don't recall any specific slang phrases. Trinity University in Ireland is worth visiting. There are students there who will take you on guided walking tours of Dublin for just a few dollars.

Jeez you don't want to know much!!!! about 8, 1 and 6 in that order. Too much slang to put here. Universities in Ireland - north and south are fantastic!
