Anyone know anyone with a county Meath accent?

What are some defining features of a county Meath accent?

I read somewhere that people from there tend to draw out "a"'s in words like: maaars baaar. Is that true?
Do you know any Meath-sims?

I have an aunt who lives in Meath, but her accent is only pretend, she's only a jumped-up Culchie like everyone else outside of Dublin with notions about herself.

Her kids have a Meath accent though. Whatever that is.

Podge and Rodge Tribute Band
Sher isn't that ginger windbag Hector O' Hucccaaaagucka from Meath and don't we all know his accent fairly well?

you're right that's exactly what they sound like!

that ad on at the mo' - right price tiles, that's where you get your tiles... i think that is a Meath accent.

sometimes i have trouble telling the diff between the Meath accent and that awful Louth accent that e.g. Steve Staunton had

My sister lives in Meath with her husband and six daughters. They moved there about five years ago.Fortunately they've managed to hold on to the Donegal accent. Her grandson though has a Meath accent and draws out his "a's".
