Trust me I'm a Doctor ♥

Anyone know if Eircom are having server problems today?

I haven't been able to access my eircom.net email accounts all day via Outlook Express.

One is my business email so I had to check it so I eventually logged onto the Eircom homepage and clicked the email box on there and it is so slow, I waited 30 or 40 seconds for the page to load (I use Firefox so its usually instant).

First message I get is this "Attention E-Mail Account Holder,

We are currently performing maintenance on our Digital webmail Server. We intend upgrading our Digital webmail Security Server for better online services.

In order to ensure you do not experience service interruption, Please you must reply to this email immediately and enter your
Username here (________)and password here (_______) and
Checkout your new features and enhancements with your new and improved webmail account. To enable us upgrade your Account for better online services please reply to this mail very fast. Thank you for using the internet service
Eircom.ie Technical Informations Department NB: We request your username and password for Identification purpose only"

I wouldn't dream of giving my details out but it seems a co-incidence that their site seems to be experiencing difficulties. Anyone else had problems?

You can access your normal e-mail through www.mail2web.com, all you need is the address and the password, and you should be able to access it without any problems.

No. I have been on eircom at different times today, and it worked fine. I wouldn't give my details to something like that either.

Do not give your username or password as I am an Eircom email account user aswell and it has a warning on it's email login page (did you not see it) saying it will never send unsolicited emails to you asking for your username or password. Sounds like trouble to me.

jayb72
not that im aware of am on eircom and it workin fine

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
We haven't had any problems doc. You should be careful about giving that sort of info.
Eircom is a dead loss anyway. They charge you every month for this email protector thing which is a handy few bob for them and their webmail service is slower than most other websites.
Privatisation how are ya?
