when the sun goes down
no that's just a stereotype which is unfounded such as the stereotype that americans are stupid, lazy and fat.

but i think you wrote that question while you were drunk, terrible grammar.

Depends on what sort of Irish you hang out with. The Travelling Community (nomadic people, live in caravans a lot) have a bad reputation for drinking heavily and causing fights, but I'm not sure just how must this is true.

I have known some people from very 'good' backgrounds to drink too much and cause fights, completely unnecessarily.

Irish people do enjoy a good time, and often have a drink while they're at it, but a surprising number of adult Irish either drink very little or don't drink at all. Me personally, I drink very little. Most of the binge drinkers are aged between 15 and 25.

Nah, its just a long running stereotype of the irish culture

No. Your stereotyping.

No, there is a lot of binge drinking especially among younger people, mid twenties & younger, but there are more teetotallers in comparison to any other European country.

I should be doing something else
Not anymore than most other countries where alcohol is freely available.

The Nine Lives of Laura Gonzales
Not at all, I'm Irish and I only drink on two days of the year. (Paddy's day and Christmas.) I know a lot of people that don't drink at all.

Wow yes the irish have a rep for been drinkers and i think its the 80s when it al started...........
but thats like saying all americans are obese and only eat trash NOT TRUE although americans have a high rate of obeisty there not all just like the irish.
also i think the ddrinking trend is changing in ireland me and my friends only drink a little people are more health concious.

Like a Fox
No. Of course alot of people in their teens to mid twenties binge drink here but that also happens in the uk too.
Do you believe everything you see on television?

Old Man Jennkins™
no that's so not true most irish aren't all drunks. you'd get some irish that don't know how to hold there drink but then again you get people in every country that don't know how to hold there drink. that's just a stupid excuse made up by people to hate the irish. saying that all irish are drunks is like saying all asians are good at math, its really offenceive and just a sterotype
