Yes i am lrish born and bred and still living here

To answer your question Dublin airport and Shannon airport are the two major international airports in the republic of Ireland and 80% of all international traffic arrive in one of these two airports.

Dublin city (the capital) is a must. the shopping, nightlife and entertainment in dublin city are unmatched anywhere else on the island. There are many historical sites in the city such as dublin castle, gpo, guinness brewery, four courts, trinity college, custom house and a ton more.

Galway city and county. Galway is the largest city in west of Ireland. Despite being only a small town (<100,000 inhabitants) the entertainment and nightlife is amazing. About 1 hour drive west of galway city is Connemara with its national park and lovely towns of Clifden and Leenane, futher north is Achill Island where life slows to a crawl and sheep walk on the road!!!

Donegal is a very rural and ruggedly beautiful county. Letterkenny, Bundoran and Buncrana are three excellent towns in Donegal to stay while you explore the amazing scenery close by.

Irelands top tourist attraction is the amazing Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare about 1 hour drive south of Galway city. The nearby burren with its caves and rock formations is like nowhere else on planet earth.

a trip to ireland wouldn't be complete without going to majestic if over-touristy County Kerry. Thronged with tourists the town of Killarney sits as the gateway to a large national park and the Ring of Kerry (a 120 mile drive around the peninsula).

Northern Ireland is worth a visit too. The north Antrim coast is really nice. Portrush is a great town to stay a day or too and from there the likes of the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-reed rope bridge and the glens of Antrim are a short drive away.

have fun.

Yep 100% irish!

I'd say the best place to fly in is Shannon because if you go to dublin it will take you ages to get out of there. When in Shannon you can visit the Lakes of Killarney, look at few of the glacier remnants, then go to Clare and visit the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Abbey in Ennis, some nice beaches in Kilkee and Kilrush and Lahinch. Then go to Galway, its always great fun up there. At the moment the Arts Festival is on then the Galway races from the 31st July to the 3rd Aug. There is loads to do in Galway.

I'm Irish, born here to Irish parents, still live here - 100 % Irish. Dublin airport is about 40 mins or so from the city centre and is the busiest international airport, although Cork and Shannon are popular also. I'd recommend a visit to the west, definitely - the scenery in and around Galway and Mayo especially is beautiful, and Galway city has great nightlife and lovely people. Although I live in Dublin, and I'd advise a trip here as well to see the Guinness brewery and so on as someone else here said. Also, check out the Discover Ireland website as they also suggested - it's very good. Enjoy your stay!

Well I am 50% Irish and 50% english. Born in England to Irish parents and now living in Ireland. Why don't google your search.

I hope you get to go on your trip to Ireland. I'm Irish but live in Canada.
