I have been to Dublin several times and I know pubs which offer food and family dining make sure that if you are there with kids you are aware when you sit down that you need to leave at 9 - basically no kids after 9 is a part of the licence conditions so no landlard hoping to keep his/her licence is going to allow it. |

No, they are not. You have to leave your children with childminders if you really must have that drink in the pub. |

I think it is strict in Dublin and I have seen people asked to leave..
Im living in the west in a small town and I myself have asked people to leave at 9pm..
Its not fair on the children, other customers or staff..
Sorry if that doesn't help but its an honest answer :-) |

They are not flexible in Dublin on this issue. I've seen people with children being asked to leave many times in Malahide, which is a touristy coastal area.
In fact, one night there were kids still in at 9.20 pm. and a customer alerted the barman and insisted that they be told to leave. So, it's not only from the bar owners, but the customers will enforce the rule also.
It's a bit like the smoking ban, it's the customers who enforce it. |

The only bars that will allow children in after 6pm are ones that want to lose their licenses.
The only parents who bring their children to bars are the ones that want to loose their children. |

Pubs will not allow children into pubs after 9pm, however if your in a hotel lounge and the children are well behaved nobody will mind. |

I would imagine it depends on the behaviour of the children. If they're quiet etc, maybe you might get away with it for a while. Plus once its not the weekend. I know if it was me, I would ask the staff to have them moved, purely as I have children, and once I've paid for a babysitter, the last thing I want to do is be socialising with children around. I have pretty strongs views about kids in pubs so may not be the best to answer. I would think a hotel would be fine, but a rustling pub wouldn't be. |

No, you'll be grand.
I don't know where everyone is getting so pc on this, it's not the way it works
The official line is no children after 9 but I've never seen someone with children asked to leave
Just ask a taxi driver name of family friendly pubs around the city, I'd give you names but I'v never had to worry about that
Just not "going out" pubs but then again you wouldn't want to bring you're whole family in there |

usually all children must be off the premises by 6pm, they might be flexible to 6.30 |
