Very Well... Just like the way anyone else is treated. |

Very well as long as they do not try to impose their customs on us. |

There are a lot of what we like to call "The New Irish" here in Ireland at the moment, immigrants from areas such as Eastern Europe, Africa ,The Phillipines, etc.Asian immigration has not been as pronounced, although there has been quite an influx from China,Pakistan and India. We don't have the same long tradition of Asian immigration as can be found in Britain but foreign faces are certainly more familiar than they were ten years ago.
Can i guarantee you that you won't face any racial abuse or discrimination if you move here?Certainly not,I imagine that you will come across a few idiots who will shout slogans but i wouldn't take their opinions to heart and most of them don't know what they're talking about anyway.I certainly don' think that racism is any worse in Ireland than in other countries and bigotry can be found everywhere
.Ireland is overall a good country to live in,especially since the economic boom. The cities in particular are becoming more attractive, especially Cork and Galway.I'd say give Ireland a try but if the U.K'S extra multio-culturalism and free healthcare proives too hard to resist,Edinburgh is one of Britain's best cities by all acounts. |

Asian people are treated very well. There's a very large Chinese community here and a heck of a lot of Indian and Pakistanis too. |

Lots of Asians have food businesses, and their kids go to the state schools. There are also quite a few in the medical field, like specialist doctors and nurses. From what I've seen, they interact pretty much on a regular basis.
I tend to treat them like I would anyone else, but I'm also aware that there are certain cultural differences and I respect these. I've seen a shopkeeper at her prayers during the day, and I don't like to interrupt her, she's only praying for a few minutes anyway, and I have time .... |

Is máith liom cáca millĂs!

There's not much Asians in Ireland, but ALOT of Polish, Lithuanians, Africans and Middle East (if that's what Iraq etc are known as!!)
I'm sure you'd be welcomed like the other nations, just don't take our jobs!! |
