Upstairs in the Palace in Fleet st although it is near temple bar you will get some good trad music there. Then O Donoghues off Grafton st. good atmosphere. Then Wheelans on Wexford st little bit further out get 16 bus from Dame st to get there. Great atmosphere and hang on long enough and you get into the club for free, further on up from wheelens is Bleedin Horse also pretty good. Finally there is Sin E along the quays on the northside....have fun!!

I have heard that The Zanzibar on the quays not too far down from O'connell Bridge, is very good. i think the club part is free on Sundays. To avoid stags and hens, keep away from Temple Bar. O'Donohoes is also good . break for the border if you're young.

Why not venture a little out of the city & try a few bars in different neighbours, like Submarine Bar or The Eleanora etc. They wont be as exciting as some of the bars in city centre but will be enjoyable all the same
