Ireland! we're just legends really! what other small country has two major national sports which can pack out an 80,000+ stadium while the players can still be your teacher or work in your local bank?! don't see john terry or gerrard commuting to work the day after a match!

As an Irish Republican, I am proud of my country and the advancements it has made in the last 90 years since gaining partial independence from Britain.

However, in this case I feel that England is a better country as regards infrastructure compared to the current situation in the 26 Counties ("Republic").

We're not there yet, but we're getting there.

England, or Ireland. I like them both.

Yankee Fever
I live in the United States but visited both countries last summer. They both had their own advantages, but I must admit that I really enjoyed Ireland.

I was not expecting to. I fully expected to fall in love with England, but those green hills, those sheep, those pubs in Ireland just got to me.

However, my opinion could also be influenced by not living in either country, spending more time in Ireland, and seeing more of Ireland than England.
