Legally no, you can't. Irish and British citizens don't need a passport, and there are no checkpoints between North and South or on the ferry between Northern Ireland and Scotland, so it would be possible - but don't do it. It is against the law, and in the unlikely event you were caught in the UK, you could be deported - and they'd deport you to Brazil, not to Ireland.
Ironically, people who live near the border in the south who are immigrants from outside the EU aren't even supposed to go to the north to go shopping.
What you should do is contact the Bristish Consulate/Embassy in Dublin and ask them for permission/a visa. |

No, you can't. You need a passport to travel between EU countries, unless you have an internationally accepted Identity Card. |

depends on which way. if you go from northern ireland you can. if you go by plane from dublin, no way. if you go by bus/ferry, maybe not. but you DEFINITELY need the passport to come back to Irish republic, if you need. |

The way most people used to get into the UK from Ireland ,was to hitch a lift with one of the lorry /truck drivers as a mate,it can still be done but not as easily now.There are at least 3 other methods,but you should keep your ears open locally for them,remember,you never know who you are talking to.There are now irregular checks made on all comercial ferries |
