Yes...it's a fun Irish set dance. It is indeed called the Siege of Ennis and has been around for ever. It's fun and easy...I hope you get the chance to try it.

sandand_surf
Yes I can. It is one of the easiest Irish dances, and they play it at most ceilis. Pretty simple and it repeats over and over again, but you dance each set with different partners.

I_Luv_P!NK
yeah!!! very handy thing to be able to do if ever it began in a pub!!!

this is a typical irish group dance , with four people facing each other . two and two . it is very easy as it repeats itself . i have competed in competions in this dance it is great fun , hope you get to dance it sometime ( other dances are walls of limerick and lanigans ball. )

teemacsee
It's a generation knowledge gap, it's the Siege of Venice or did the previous generation get the pronunciation wrong and you are right? Any way I don't know how to dance it,I'm from Scotland.

Citizen Mac

Nope, not me

BIG D
Possibly.
They are more likely to be able to dance The Siege of Venice though, preposterous though it sounds
