Sure. If the number is under 13, then it's the actual time.
If it's 13:00 or above, just subtract 12 from it and you have the time in pm.
So 22:00 would be 10:00pm |

For minutes in between, use the same as in any clock 00 through 59
Example 12:35 P.M. = 1235 Hours
Example 12:35 A.M. = 0035 Hours (after Midnight (2400 hours)the Clock starts at 0001 Hours)
Example 02:20 P.M. = 1420 Hours
Example 02:20 A.M. = 0220 Hours
Example 02:59 P.M = 1459 Hours

Yes, it's not hard to tell military time............... start at noon 12:00 then 1pm would be 13:00, 2pm would be14:00.... and so on until you get to midnight 24:00.....you asked what is 22:00.... it's 10pm.
There is no Am or Pm

Military time is easy, instead of using 1 to 12 am and 1 to 12 pm it uses all 24 hours...so 1:00 pm is 13:00 and 2:00 is 14:00...just add 12 to figure out the pm (am is the same). |

Simplicity itself. 0001 is one minute past midnight. Up to noon forget the first zero and you have the time. After noon it becomes 1300. Subtract 1200 and you have the time. This goes right up to 2359, subtract 1200 and you have 11.59pm, one minute to midnight. |

Military time starts counting at 12 midnight. 0100 is 1 AM, 0200 is 2 AM, 1200 hours is noon, 1300 hours is 1 PM, 2230 hours is 10:30 PM. If the first 2 digits are greater than 12, subtract 12 from the number, and you'll have the standard time. So:
1020 hours is 10:20 am
1445 hours is 2:45 in the afternoon
2359 hours is 1 minute before midnight. |

We all know there are 24 hours in a day. The military (and most computers) don't recognize AM and PM. Thus 12:00 in military time is noon, 1:00 PM for the rest of us is 13:00 hours. All hours before noon are what the clock says: after noon you have to add the number on the clock to twelve to convert to military time or subtract twelve from a military clock to convert back to common AM and PM standards. |

I used to work on a military base and I know this can be confusing. If I remember correctly 12:00 noon would be 1200 hours so at 1:00 in the afternoon it is 1300 hours and so on and so on. 2200 hours would be 10:00 p.m. |

As everyone else has mentioned, if the number on the left side is above 13, all you have to do is subtract 12 and you'll get the p.m. time. The military uses the "hundred hour system" so people don't get confused between a.m. and p.m. Imagine if you were planning a coordinated attack with planes and ground troops and told everyone "We strike at 6:00," but the troops advance at 6:00 a.m. and the planes don't arrive until 6:00 p.m. OOPS!!! |

22:00 is 10 o'clock... when looking at your watch or clock on the wall that isn't digital..then once it hits 12 just add on up example. .. 1pm =13:00 2pm=14:00, 3pm=15:00 until you hit 12pm it's 24:00 then start all over except now it's 1am instead of 13:00
that's that best way to learn military time and it's easy |
